I never had notes in my own profiles Notes tab, so I can't comment on that, but the notes I have in other people Notes tab are still there.

There's something for the open source developers to do - make a viewer that keeps a copy of your notes about other people on your local hard drive.

I gave up using the profile notes long ago as they kept disappearing. Much easier to use notepad instead.
