I spotted a post from earlier today: /327/b0/182132/1.html...asking the question why Baku is light blue on the World map. Being the owner of a parcel in this sim, I would like to know the same thing. It has been suggested that it may be a mega prim covering the entire sim. The sim is owned predominately by one SL group. Any body have any idea what this could be and what I can do if it is a huge prim over my property? Thank you, any suggestions would be great.

If it were a mega prim, it would have to be about the level you see it on the map, ie: you CAN see the tops of certain builds on the map so if the megaprim were above those it would block them out too.
My guess... if not megaprim, bug.
If its a mega prim you can file one of those highly effective abuse report after you've given up trying to contact it's owner, if its a bug you can file one of those highly effective bug reports.

Thanks for the response Pie. I can actually see certain tops of buildings like you said. I have been to the sim but I cannot determine if it is a mega prim. How can I file an abuse report if i don't know who is doing the abusing?

The light blue color on the map wouldn't have to be from a mega prim, it could be a grid of normal prims covering the sim.
If you look in the southwest corner of the map of Baku there is a little blue circle on a white background. You can find this little blue circle on the ground.
There is a light blue "floor" piece floating in the air at baku 115 127 751.
By the way, Happy Belated Birthday Baku!

By the way, Happy Belated Birthday Baku! Thanks SuezanneC, I found the piece but it still doesn't explain why the whole sim is light blue. There are nine light blue prims, hardly enough to cover the entire sim. My objects tab in "about land" only shows one prim, which is mine and tiny. I'd really like to determine what this is.

Eh i don't concern myself with what they do in that sim... As long as it doesn't spill over into others without their consent. ;p

The big map doesn't show what is there currently, so the fact that there's only a few light blue prims there now doesn't indicate anything about what was there when the map was last made. Quite possibly they covered their sim with light blue things as part of their birthday celebration. Writing a script that will cover a sim with prims is very easy. Folks used to cover the entire Cordova sim with prims up high to use the entire upper level as an arial workspace all the time. Several times times a day, in fact. The maker of the gridwide elevated floor would come down to the ground at times and asked if anyone wanted a lift up to the upper level. It was most likely a megaprim, since that isso easy. The free set of huge prims at selexchange, http://slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=143569 , includes a 256 x 256 x 1 giant tile, so anyone could have covered it with a giant light blue square. Baku does seem to be the only sim that changes from terrain to light blue as I zoom in and out. That is a bit odd. I bet that's because it was a megaprim.
