Since this is completely within the bounds (and good to have on) of the forums and answers alot of questions I'm gonna post this.

Ignore any trolls that say it isn't appropriate.

I play a woman on an alt (and announce I'm a guy irl on the profile), and don't see it as any different than playing a robot, jedi, furry, cartoon, or amorphous blob.

Of those I have robot, cartoon, and furry, for reference.

Jus seeing how many of you out there do play the opposite gender on occasion, and your views on it.

I feel its a valuable part of resident answers to let others know they aren't freaky deekys!

Yup, 2 female alts, I agree with your perspective, and also I see this as an appropriate thread to be in resident answers.

I have some female alts.

One is a roleplay character. She very infrequently deals with people who are not 'in the know' about what's running the wetware so it's not an issue.

Another of them is not exactly an RP character, but I don't discuss my RL gender, it's not an issue she doesn't interact with men (or women) on intimate levels.

I enjoy the wide selection of skin, hair, and clothing choices being a female gives me. And the shoes! All those shoes!

I have one male and one female alt. Their names are mostly a secret, as they exist to allow me to log in without getting hit with three zillion well-meaning IMs.
