Is anybody here using this product?

I am having a problem when I set up a destination that is too high (it seems). After around 200 mts, the teleporter (when activated) throws me into Neverland and the configuration files seems to become blank (when I edit and open the notecards).

After resetting the teleporter scripts the saved configuration files reappear.

FWIW, this teleporter is replacing the "Drop and Go" version that worked w/o problems for the same destination. And yes, all locations are within the same sim.

did you edit the configuration cards to show the coordinates that you wanted?

I'm using them and I TP up to around 400 meters with no problems

Yes I did, and that is why I am baffled. I set up the same teleporters for a shop and had no problems whatsoever.

Hi Don -

I'm using one of the Omega Concern's Teleporters but I can't remember the exact name at the moment. They are extremely good at customer service so, when we can get back in, if you look at the notecard that came with the product, you'll find a special passcode imbedded in there. Yes, you'll have to read the notecard but, once you find the passcode, you can send a notecard or im (can't remember which) to Omega Concern. You should get a prompt reply. Most questions are answered in their notecard.

Their Customer Service and product are exemplary! The teleporter I use is the quickest I've found and I tp over 700m between locations!

haha - rereading the above, I can't remember much today! :o
Good luck,
Tini

Okay, now we know they're WarpPos-based. One thing that can defeat such a teleporter is crossing into a parcel that either is full or has no-object-entry set (or probably, come to think of it, agent access restrictions). This could be the problem if one of the internal "hops" of the teleporter lands on such a parcel.

Whether or not that happens to be the problem, if the distance traveled in the TP is always less than 300m on any axis, it's much better to use a teleporter based on llSitTarget(): they cause significantly less lag, and provide instantaneous transport (no "passing through" any parcels).

You got me here. In regards to parcel traveling, I am trying to teleport from my home (on the ground) to my skyhouse (300+ mts high), both are in the same parcel.

Tini: I already read the whole user manual, find out the passphrase and sent an email. Still waiting for a response. I was just wondering if there was a known issue regarding tps over a certain distance or something similar.

I had a similar problem this past Sunday with the config file on my Combat Junkies teleporter system. I don't think it's item specific so much as SL specific.

I even tried taking the item back into inventory and re-rezzing it. Tried to use the system and got teleported nowhere near the destination, went back, config card was blank again. Resetting the item or re-rezzing it broght the config card back. The problem went away as fast as it appeared. It's been working flawlessly since Monday now.

Go figger.
