Do you know some SL sites which have many polygons?
I am new here and I like to visit the site which has many buildings like a city.

Thank you.

Young2, there are too many places to list that fit with what you describe.

Two areas I would suggest that have a city-like theme are:

-Midnight City
-The 'City' Sims - search the map for Grignano, teleport in & walk around!

Perhaps others will reply with more ideas as well.

Good Luck, and Welcome to Second Life! :)

prims are still made off polygons (or triangles.. forgot have to check wireframe mode later)
;)

i think ll just didn“t implement a polygon modeler to keep the streaming as fast as possible. this way they only need to submit prim scaling, position and rotation and not all that data for every face of an object.

what im on about is the fact that you are better off getting used to the term 'prim'.

Nakama has a nice city.. It has giant rainbow you can walk on. The Avastar island is also a good place to see with these giant glass domes that are quite beautiful. I think the NBC headquarters has a nice cityscape too.

There is a problem when someone starts interchanging prims with polygons/triangles in their head though.

Two prims don't necessarily have more polygons/triangles than one prim depending on the parameters and less prims doesn't necessarily mean there's less the video card has to render.
