I'm at about 50,000 feet now and still dont see space. I want to be an space man so I launched a home built rocket and am now flying in it. I'm at 50,000 feet or whatever and no sign of outer space. I'm trying to reach the moon or another planet. When will I get to my outer space?

Would have been a lot faster to go and get yourself orbited to 100,000m then rez the rocket

If you're talking about the International Spaceflight Museum, the planets are only about 700m up...that's why they tell you to set your time of day to midnight.

Ground Control to Major Tom ... Something to listen to while you float away in your spaceship.

you're unlikely to reach any celestial bodies because it's just a void up there. the sun and moon that you see are merely flat bitmaps ..not giant spherical prims. you could try listening to Riding on a Rocket by Shonen Knife while you're up there though. it would add a certain je ne sais quoi to your expedition. =D They tried to tell Copernicus that the earth was flat bitmap, but would he listen? |

This could be the start of a new age of SL exploration. I await the creation of a no-fly Antarctic continent with bated breath! |
