A couple of days ago I've seen a nice gimmick: A tray of wine bottles handing out different types of wine glasses which then went ahead telling you how much you were enjoying them. Unfortunately the place where this stood has evaporated so I don't know anymore who made it. I checked out a couple of furniture outfits, but couldn't find it.

Does anyone have an idea what I am talking about and where I cound find it? TIA!

Hi Ricky,

If you're just giving out one type of wine (ie just one object) the script is really simple:

From: someone

default {
touch_start(integer total_number) {
// to give a different inventory item type,
// replace "INVENTORY_OBJECT" with "INVENTORY_NOTECARD", etc.
llGiveInventory(llDetectedKey(0),llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_OBJECT, 0));
}
}

Just go into the content tab of the tray, click the create new script button, edit the script and replace what's there with the text above.

Then put the wine glass into the tray's content. Easy peasy :)

Thanks, Vale, but *cough* *blush* being the lazy soul that I am, this time I actually was looking to buy the d**n thing instead of building it from scratch.

But doing so would definitely be more fun, no doubt about that. :)

Casandra Jackson makes some very nice wine trays, along with scads of oither foods n' drinks. You can see a tray on SLX at this url:

Or go to her store ingame in http://secondlife://Voti/201/50/

Thanks a bunch, Saucey! That's exactly what I have been looking for.

And now your av name has made me hungry ... I'm off to the kitchen now. :)

I've got some champagne that does as the OP describes. Maker is Casandra Jackson. Also some incredibly intricate canapes.

Hope this helps

I am not in-world right now, and can't check details, but there is a whole-sim store that has "Kitchen" in its name, and they have tons of stuff like this. Wine bottles, ale casks, all sorts of things, that dispense the appropriate scripted drinking vessel. They also had prim food and eating animations.
