bad bad bug

Has anyone else seen this?

A customer buys something, customer pays for it, and it shows up in customer's account history, but customer does not receive the item. I do not get any record of the transaction, and it does not show up in my transaction history.

The same customer might be buying a bunch of stuff, and some of it actually works normally (customer gets item, and I get record of sale) which the rest doesn't.

I have seen this now with 3 customers buying very different things. They aren't ripping me off -- it is really happening.

Anyone else seeing this?

Something very similar sounding has happened in my store a few times... exactly as you describe, and the customer has apparently at the time successfully purchased an item, but it hasn't shown in their inventory - except every time I've asked them to check their transaction record as well, it has in fact not gone through.

Did you ask them to check their account history as well?

I believe this happens if a right-clck-and-buy type transaction becomes stale due to lag.

I have seen this occur frequently. Often the transaction will go thru however the item never shows up in the customers inventory or if it does appear it is often days later. This is a major bug, a showstopping bug but LL is either unaware or unconcerned about it. It is also almost impossible to bring a problem of this sort to LL's attention anymore. Bug reports are like a black hole, support.secondl;ife.com is even worse and all other ways we used to have to try and make them aware of these things have been removed.

Check the blog.

They're having asset server issues and that might be causing the problems you are describing.

Yes actually, I do ask them to check their transaction history. That's the problem here I think: I have no record of the sale, but they do and they have paid for the item.

Are there workarounds that you know of? Is it only right-click purchasing that is affected? Actually I don't think it is, because one customer was buying from a vendor.
