island delivery can take a couple of days
mine took about 1.5day to be deliverd but there were less problems back then lol

Depending on their backlog it can take a couple of days, especially if you ordered it last week, when we had a 'weekend-holiday-weekend' sort of set up.

From: Spiffeh Kidd i mean tisland i bought it with cash... I usually takes a couple of days, but it often takes Linden Lab a couple of days longer to notify you. What you can do is open the map and search for your island. You will often find it long before you get an official notification from Linden Lab. Good luck

I like this story... Spiffeh, who joined SL some twelve days ago, flew down to the Linden Labs office with a huge wad of US$ in notes and told them he wanted to buy an island. They naturally acquiesced to this request, relieved him of his cash and made him promise to fly back to the office once a month with a brown paper bag full of used dollar bills to pay his tier. He then logged in to SL and waited patiently for the island to appear, (naturally) getting a little impatient when it didn't appear within the hour. I think he should be given a refund - perhaps LL will leave it behind the trash can outside the back door of their office.
For sensible people interested in a sensible answer, I placed an order for another island last Friday and it has yet to come online. I was promised midweek. However, I did pay by credit card - so maybe Spiffeh's jumped ahead of me in the queue, having paid cash.
Laugh? I nearly did.
