Multiplying spam balls go poof! - Excellent timming from the Lindens or coincidence?

Either it was a coincidence or this was a case of a really fast performance from the Lindens.

This griefer attacked a sim in the mainland, where I have some land, with colorful spam balls that multiplied themselves and were always changing color. They seemed to multiply only on parcels that allow everybody to build and on parcel borders, wowy.

I've reported the guy after one "server unexpected difficulty" and you can all imagine the lag in a SIM full of colorful screaming multiplying balls!

After 5 minutes or something the guy was banned and all the balls poof!! I've read so many complaints about Lindens performance in the forums that I was getting ready to go to bed, woot? no way, they acted right away. Perhaps it was my luck and this guy was spamming since Friday, dunno.

Anyone out there saw this before, this weekend?
