Hello folks,
I'm sure this is the not the perfect spot for this but unfortunately getting started is where my problem lies. I would like to rent some ad space in game for a web site of mine. My question is how do I create the images that are used in advertisements along with the ability to have them link to a website. Any help on how to get started would be greatly appreciated.

If you have any jpeg design programs you just make your sign and save it as a jpeg on your harddrive. Then log into Second Life and import it for $10L. You can go to http://www.xstreetsl.com and purchase a web launcher script (if you can't find a freebie.) Drop the script in the contents of a prim, drag your texture on the prim and then find polaces with good traffic that will allow you to rent space there for your signage.

Instead of using a jpeg image try TGA, PNG or BMP. You'll have much better quality for your picture. And it might be a good thing to peek in the Textures Tips section of these forums for sizing your image for a distortion free display........small things like a good image can make or break someone clicking on the prim to launch the browser and visit your site. Texture size and pixel count is the stickie I think........it will help you tremendously. Edit to post the link to the Stickie: /109/e6/150360/1.html

From: Peggy Paperdoll Instead of using a jpeg image try TGA, PNG or BMP. Agreed: especially TGA. Seems to be the best quality within SL. Keeping the image to powers of two also helps considerably.
