Where do i find the "parcel" in the below context? in a map or viewer? How do take possession? Go to the parcel and select it by right clicking on it. Select "Edit Land" and "Buy Land". The cost will be L$0. (From SL KB>> Auction FAQ >> How do I take possession?) http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=053please help, thanks.

Bring up the map by clicking the "map" button. Type the name of the sim in the "search" field and click "search." Verify that your target ring is now in the sim you are looking for. Click the "teleport" button to get there. Right-click the ground and a pie menu will pop up; click "about land" on this pie menu. If you're where you're supposed to be, the parcel will be set to sell to you at L$0. Click "buy" and you should be all set.

"Parcel" is the plot of land that you've bought at auction. go TO the plot of land and take possession of it by following the directions in the knowldege base note.
(the key to this is the 'Right Click' to bring up the 'Buy Land' function. you must point your mouse at the specific land you bought and right click on it.)

There's no sim name after u get a reservation space from auction. first of all u need build region on the reservation space, but right now i can not build it via ""Reservation and Region Management" http://secure-web8.secondlife.com/apps/mapapps/management). Congratulations on your auction win. If you can go to the parcel, then an equivalent thing to do to right-clicking on the land is to click once on the land name at the very top of your secondlife screen. Then you'll get the same dialog box with a button to buy your win for $0. --Edit: Oops, I missed that this is a reservation- ? I've been unable to figure out what the reservations are for. A future island?? I'm looking forward to seeing what the answer is to your query. -Fo

You have not won an aution for any land. You have won a reservation. All a reservation does for you is give you the ability to pay $1675 and buy a private sim on that portion of the grid. The explanation of what you are actually getting when you purchase or win in auction a reservation is very confusing. You have not actaully won anytihng you can use without paying an additional and large amount of money.

From: Ken March I only wanna own a 512 square meters island... There is no such thing as a 512sm island. The only 512sm parcel you can buy is a piece of mainland. And you don't do that at auction. You just find the parcel in search and then pay for it directly by right-clicking on the land and selecting Buy Land.

Ken, I strongly recommend that you peruse the knowledge base, esp. the chapters on How do I find land? How do I buy land?Guide to Private Islands... and other articles in the Land section of the KB. Then go to the grid and try it out ... you can go through the motions. As long as you don't press the final "OK" button, you haven't bought anything. If all this leaves any further questions, feel free to come back. On another note: Why don't you first rent something for a few weeks before you decide what and where to buy? [shameless_plug]Some people may be able and willing to rent you a 512 sq parcel [/shameless_plug]
