Hi-
Well, I purchased land about a week and a half ago. I went crazy, landscaping, buying furniture, modifying my house and so on. I thought it would be a good idea to make a list of all the things on the land so I could keep track.
On one parcel, it says (In About Land/Objects) there are 616 primitives owned by the parcel owner (me), and no other prims are on the parcel. In going through everything, I am counting 615. I have triple checked everything and I can't visually see anything.
Unfortunately, if I choose "Show", it only highlights all 616 prims, which is impossible to determine which is which.
It would be ideal to have something that shows each object, it's name, it's coordinates, and the number of prims used per object.
I bought a product where you set up orbs and it scans the land, and does this information, but you need to set the orbs up just right and there are so many duplicates that occur (more than one orb is reading the same information), that it took me hours and I got fed up. I am about ready to pull out all my little AV prim hairs.
Isn't there a way to just pull the information needed from the entire parcel? Or is this a problem of differentiating between objects and prims? There must be a way. I can't think of another way to find that one or two prims I can't account for.
Any advice will be appreciated.

it could be a small prim wich u don`t see when at a distance like 10-15meters if ur really that bugged about it
select all -> drag up -> count prim amount
then look for the missing prim with walking around and select all, after finidng it, select all the objects u dragged up and hit "ctrl+z" (undo) and they all move back to the spot where they were ebfor dragging up, that`s how i do my linking of large objects

Fly up above your builds where you can see all your land.
Open the Edit pane.
Drag-select over your land (L-click and hold and pull the mouse arrow).
Ensure you have 616 prims selected. If not, then all prims are not in your field of view.
Hold the SHIFT key and begin clicking on prims you can see to DE-select them.
NOTE:: Be careful of avatar movement that can take you out of the Edit pane on the objects. Alt and arrows can still work, but you need to UN-focus out of the Edit pane. I usually use the chat bar to do this.
It may take time, but you should be able to get down to only that lost prim highlighted. Easier to trim down prims if things are linked. ie your house (if linked) should de-select with one click.

I have had this problem before. I got around it by deeding all the large prim objects to a group I own. The smaller prims were then easy to spot. In one case I had an object of over 100 prims, and the prim count did NOT match the number of prims reported in Edit by 1.

It's quite common if you make a mistake changing a z-coordinate for the object to end up at the highest possible position which is around 760m (?). Eg if you want to type 100.07 but miss the dot it'll whizz it away out of sight.
Get hold of a flight feather (free from slx), teleport or fly up and have a look around.
Alternatively it could be below ground.... type shift-control-alt-5.. this will toggle the ground on and off and reveal anything buried underground (I don't think this works for a Mac?)

Thank you all for your advice. I think I spent almost 6 hours looking for that one prim (no obsessive comments please It was not so easy to drag and select the land with pretty much getting too much but it helped give me ideas. I had made a spreadsheet of all my stuff, so I was able to drag in different quadrants of the land and count in sections, not the entire land. I lifted the property (the Ctrl-Z was great - thanks). Put on the wings, cleared the land. I tried everything. So where was the 1 prim? Well, I had purchased some large Tiger grass, which was a 3 or 4 prim object. I wanted to break them apart into 1 prim objects to make a flat fence rather than use the 3D effect. It looked great and filled the back spot. Once I was able to see how many prims I had counted in each quadrant, it was much easier to find where the mistake was. I had only found 2 Tiger Grass items. But there were 3. Oh well. Lesson learned!!!! But I used a lot of the advice given here to find it. So thanks. Dmitriy

Hunt the Prim is one of my favorite games in SL. There's a terrific Spy quest treasure hunt (mata hari?) loads of fun.
remember: The debug menu is your friend.
it allows you to eliminate various kinds of object rendering (my favorite is removing clouds, my framerate doubles almost allways)
for a different perspective too, (ctrl shift r) for wireframe veiw.
itsss mine ittssss mmmmiiine i found it and it's my p p preci....
