1 Linden dollar? Well you might be able to sell it, but if you're desperate for 1 Linden dollar, IM me and I'll send you one later...

They give you the $1 at the beginning for the sole purpose of buying the chainmail jacket, which is part of the required orientation.
Bye bye, have a nice life! _____________________

Honestly, if you're gonna "wipe game" just because you can't get 1L$ back, I predict that you'll have a very hard time in SL, 'cause you don't seem patient enough to learn how the thing works. /me shakes her head _____________________

I normally don't give money to strangers, but sent a few L your way to make you reconsider. A lot of new SL users feel like running into a wall when they take the first steps, and many (dare I say most) of them quit and give up because of that. Give it another chance. Stay around, explore places, learn to use the interface, talk to people and so on. There is a particular place called The Shelter, which addresses newbies. Pop the search window (Ctrl + F) and type in "The Shelter". They have their own group as well, so feel free to join it. Also feel free to join "Lucky Chair" groups. Lucky Chairs are chairs which will call out a new letter every few minutes. If your name starts with that particular letter, you can sit down on the chair and win something. Some of them have nice giveaways, and people in those groups help out by calling out the chairs.
Another place you really should go visit, is the New Citizens Placa, where you will find lots and lots of freebies, free classes and nice people around. Places to see, things to do. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Kuula/69/169/29/ Have fun ![]() |

OK, I just sent you $2L .. just don't want to see someone to quit for 1L$$$$$! 1L is for your bravery to post and ask for refund for 1L 1L is for charity or the dime I found on the street the other day ![]() and you don't need to send me the jacket. |

Wow, nice act of kindness there, Howard. Imagine if we all acted as you did in both worlds... ...we'd have a lot more beggars on the street! Nice random act of kindness - but do we really want to encourage people to walk around feeling entitled to having money thrown at them? _____________________

Well, guess what. It is my money, and I do as I please with it. I even give money to beggars IRL so that you can go making fun of those as well.

(just letting my previous statment stand as for obvious reasons)
I got a bit hot-headed there, sorry about that and please accept my apologies regarding the last remark, which was completely unnecessary. The only reason I mentioned the money is that I wanted to make clear that he/she then already had received some, not to make myself look like the nice guy who's better than everybody else. I submitted a bunch of LM's as well in-world, to ease the pain somewhat. Now go to some of those freebie shops and get yourself dressed up, maybe get a decent skin, better hair e.t.c. I am done responding in this thread anyway, sorry for the bother. |

The original poster didn't have much staying power! Reminds me of the guy who walked out fo his university exams and failed his degree because his pen ran out of ink!
