Is there a way that whenever we acquire new things or when we go shopping, the items we get go to a specific folder that we choose instead of going into the "Objects" folder or some other folder of its own?
Its rather annoying when a efw hours later you wanna get a the things u buy and you have to sift thru the "Objects" folder trying to figure out what was the name of that object that you had bought or what was the folder that was created when you had the objects copied or moved to your inventory.

There's no automated way unfortunately . I have a folder named "[Shopping Bag]" (the brackets put it up at the top before any the rest if you have "Always sort folders by name" checked) and after every store I pass through, I'll use the recent items tab on the inventory window to just drop everything into that folder. Then when I have some time, I'll go through my "shopping bag" and sort everything and put everything into its proper place .

Nazz, I have this same problem, lol. Within my Objects folder I did create a folder named "opened objects". I move the leftovers of the stuff I unpacked into this folder so new items appear in the main "objects" folder. Furthermore, when I still cannot find the things I bought (not all are stored in the object folder) I will switch to the tab "Recent Items". There you can see easily the recent stuff you bought since last logon. Now hopefully you donot have to reboot too often...

From: SamanthaJo Steins switch to the tab "Recent Items". There you can see easily the recent stuff you bought since last logon. You can modify the filters and see stuff from long ago - this is how I find the stuff I bought on my last clothes buying binge. Unfortunately it's getting too long ago now so when I try that there's a lot of other stuff in there too, but still better than looking through the whole thing.

There's also a bug where the acquired timestamps on items - that you don't rez, like clothing - seems to reset either into the past (from what I can tell after asking 2 designers who orignally made the items, it seems to revert back to the date and time the item was originally created) or "forward" into the recent present (something you bought months ago will show up acquired only a few days back).

Maybe two suggestions to this...
Clean up your objects folder regulary (move things to other folders and delete that what is not needed).
And sort your inventory on date, the things you bought the last will be at the top of your inventory folder.
Sorting your complete inventory on date will put also those things bought which are placed directly into your inventory at top of it.
