Second Avatar

How can I get myself a second Avatar? Can I buy one and keep my e-mail adress of my first avatar? Or do I have to have a new e-mail adress for every avatar I want? Or isnt there any possibility at all for a second one? When I tried to create a new one, Linden told me, that they reserve the rights to decide, who can have a second one and who not. Did I misunderstand something?

Although this information is not provided anywhere by Linden Labs, you must have a different email account for each avatar.

Hmm. I have a variety of avatars. At our little forum get-together a couple of weeks ago, people were showing off multiple avatars; the giant chicken seemed to be a big hit.

I think you're asking about a second account? When I use my different avatars, the name "cHex Losangeles" still appears over whatever passes for their heads; but my second account has a different name. I had to pay a one-time $10 fee to set up my second (basic) account (my main is Premium). Both of my accounts use the same e-mail addy. I believe the process for adding an alt starts at https://secure-web4.secondlife.com/join/; if so, at some point you are asked if this is an additional account.

Interesting enough I can't create another player using the same Email address even if I wish to pay the $10
Perhaps I should create a hiotmail address then try edit the account to my real email

This is likely to be a bug. You are supposed to be able to create multiple avatars with a single e-mail address, although there is a fee for doing so to discourage "ban jumping".
