New TOS - What's new?

Did anyone get the changes in the new TOS?

Yeah..I just got it but still can't log in..something about my clock being wrong lol

I think the original poster was asking "what are the changes?"... (Which I don't know since I'm busy at the moment and haven't logged in!)

Section 92: ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US

And I thought I saw section 94 down there: There is no support. No Lindens are ever online (we are, but hiding and busy with section 95 or 96), or will ever respond to support emails. You are on your own. May the grey goo be with you.

Section 95: If you try to pay someone we will pretend that our database is overloaded and take the money ourselves. You will NOT get any kind of compensation whatsoever.

Section 96: We enjoy stealing stuff from your inventory. Don't ever expect to get it back.

Seriously: Earlier, they highlighted the new stuff for us. It's not like I remember everything letter by letter. It would be nice to know what has changed.

Is the Terms of Service shown in the F1 help the true, accurate, current and complete one?

I got that on the last TOS... but it still let me OK the TOS I couldn't read... I had to read them on the website and hope they matched what I wasn't being shown.

I don't know what changes they made either, so I can't honestly say I know what I just agreed to that I didn't already agree to.

I guess the lesson is save a copy of the TOS from now on and do a "cmp" or equivalent between the old and new copies to tell you what has changed. Anyone know any good text comparators for Windows?

LL, I really would appreaciate you at least pointing out which sections have been altered like you did last time. I just can't always see the nuances between 2 several page documents with a sentence added or reworded here and there.

That section has been there for years. But Sweet Primrose's paraphrase is sadly accurate.

Wait what you create and own belongs to LLabs Regardless right?!
Besides Lindens thelmselves can copy.Object, script, etc they wish regardless of any facts inthe tos anyways. Lindens have be copying objects from others users on SL since Time on SL has begune.



What exist on sl DOESNT EXIST in real life. So LLabs has pushed its self away from any lawsuits with RL companies scream copywrite abuse.......Meaning there is going to be even more Copywrite abuse happening.



WTH...........Is LLabs dropping to a new low? They say they MIGHT but are not Obligated remove copywritten material and objects if owners in RL say it break the law(s) of copy protection?! Was`nt some watchdog fruit linden flying from one sim to another reporting and banning such unlawful people in the past 6 months? Again LLabs changes the rules as they see fit......

All in all this shows the sign of the dark age we live in now with sl, and from the last 8 months its been ony black and no light at the end os the tunnel......

LL if you are reading please turn comments on for the blog entry regarding the recent TOS change.

also please post the sections of the TOS that were changed or at least point out the reference numbers for the sections that were changed.

Just because they wrote it doesn't mean that it is true.
