I did a search on google and i can find plenty of radio stations, but i cant seem to find the info i need to type into my land box to get it streaming on my land.

Does anyone know how to go about getting the information i need?

When the server is back up I will send you four notecards full of streaming addresses.

Usually you need to find a PLS file ("playlist";), open that in notepad, and copy the address to the "Media" tab of your parcel.

I wanted to find some nice newage/instrumental type music, so did a Google Search for 'free internet radio "new age" PLS', then started wading through pages till I found a PLAY/LISTEN button that downloaded a PLS file, and copied the address from the PLS file. It took me a while to find one that I liked, and that worked.

I can give you the URL to RadioRadio, we're on all the time, live DJ's most nights, and often unscheduled "ninja-casts" during the daytime. We're weird, funny, and irreverant and not for the faint of heart!

Right now the infamous TriNala Show is on, a Saturday night SL staple for well over 3 years running, and combo like none other!

Put that url in the land controls Audio section and enjoy!!

anything that is on shoutcast you can play in sl

right click the yellow Tune In button and 'save target as' and give it a name

then open it with notepad

copy the =http://'whatever' it says file
such as =http://121.140.52.171:8000

and you have what you need to put on a notecard or just paste into the Music URL space under Media

I got mine from shoutcast but I think you have to open the player on your comp and search for URL. You might need to copy it down on paper - I can never paste anything onto SL panels.

I always use CTL-C and CTL-V without problem with WinXP. Are you on windows, mac or linux?
