Just curious if anyone else has had trouble using this (First Look Windlight) since the latest update?? I was using it exclusively, with no real problems or bugs....and since the last update....First Look crashes on me with in 5 to 20 minutes of being logged in. I love these effects and am just wondering if there's a solution to this glitch. I normally have very few few probs with SL as I am running on a a brand new Dell xps 410 that's amped to the gills for gaming.

The latest Firstlook release is "Firstlook Voice" .. your old FL viewer is no longer compatible .. see "http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/06/14/windlight-update/" .

I was afraid that might be the case. I was getting away with using it in snippets......*pout* but it was so cool....I'm not really in to voices as much as i am the over all visual FX in SL. *sigh* thanks for the reply Racal.

hehe no worries .. I was enjoyin' the specatcle as long as I could .. if your interested or able to compile from code you can still download the binaries from the same link as above .. Good luck.

I have the same trouble with it, which may be why FirstLook WindLight is now not available for download an stuff. (I still use it sometimes for photos, as long as I already have all the location an stuff planned out, an can jump in there an g et my shot really, really quick.) Mari

I've already asked, but it seems no one using Windows is able to/wants to compile the source...I don't have the necessary software for it, and I want my beautiful sky back...

dam it...I was having such a good time getting pics with those sky FX....now I don't even have the motivation cause it's just not the same. But....as Marianne said...I can pop in First Look for quickies if I know what I want to do, hehe.
