I've been reading Grid slowdown messages for 3 days now and I just don't understand what they are saying. You'd think they could put things in laymans terms. What is a "query load on the database"? http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/01/30/grid-slowdown-2/What is a "query caching problem"? http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/01/29/grid-slowdown/Why is this a daily problem? Why can't I ask a Linden these questions myself!? Umm....because they won't allow comments in any of the threads...then again I don't think they are read. Does it sound to anyone like they have come up with 3 ways of describing the same problem to make it look like they are fixing something each time?

Judging by the context, I'm guessing they're referring to "search" when they say query. The search function has been performing poorly lately...

I think it's probably a little more techy than that. It's all about the networking of the servers and data bases. My guess is that it's an overload issue..............same overload issue that they've been having for a month now. Just tossing in new words and phrases to baffle us. You know that old expression: "If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bull***t" LOL
