you need to look on the website under my account and see if it is active or inactive then email or call to find out what is going on

I don't want to alarm you, but that's the message you get when you've been banned. I think it's keyed to IP or CPU or something because when I got it, it had to do with an older account. This was a couple of years ago, so the message may mean something else now. And SL has been very very messed up.

I guess the good news is that, at least for me, it was pretty easy to resolve since it was a mistake.

I have never had this happen, but from past reading... well, it sounds like your computer might have been banned from SL. Only thing I can suggest is that you call (not email, call, repeatedly if you have to) Support.

This is what I found on it: http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=025

I do hope this isn't the problem you are having.

Sorry to be blunt, but this thread is entirely pointless.

Actually as LL is actively removing all ways to get any kind of help or technical support emailing support@secondlife.com is entirely pointless at this time. No one who I know who has tried to get any help from emailing LL has ever gotten a reply.

Sorry for any offence caused, I wasn't trying to write you off. I was simply making the point that an error like that is usually caused by LL deliberately blocking your computer, and if they deliberately blocked your computer once, they very well may do so again. Thus, in the long term, talking with them about it via support@secondlife.com may be the best solution. Switching to another machine may get you back into SL now, but without also talking with support@, you risk having the new machine blocked for the same reason and then having to contact support@ anyway at a later date.
I was wrong about the thread being pointless - it did help Keiichi to get back into SL faster, and it did remind me that support@ can sometimes take awhile to respond to things. Nevertheless I would still suggest you contact support@ about this.

I think LL has enlisted every able bodied person at LL to keep SL running at this point. So i'm not surprised there's no response to phonecalls or emails to support. I think LL is in way over their heads trying to keep all their circuits from blowing with 20,000 + plus users online, rezzing new islands that customers have already paid megabucks for plus just maintaining the SL platform....booting griefers....taking time in between to take care of their own "bioneeds". I wouldn't expect much in the way of answers or support right now. Love it or leave it but I wouldn't put too many RL $s into atm....

you are probably the only one to ever get anyone with SL support on the phone i've called and left emails numerous times and haven't gotten anything. and everyone i've asked has had probs with something or another and never gotten anyone on the phone. i just want in the game and to know why it was blocked when i didn't do anything.

I've never had Any trouble getting through to any part of SLs support mechanisms.

And I'm Not a Freemason or anything! :D

Maybe you just have to be in Canada.

Angel.
