OK, I have been dragged kicking and screaming to voice chat but ... can't IM.
Anyone else have the same problem/know a fix?
Also ... where is good for chatting?

The IM feature is on and off again - mostly it just makes your voice client default to off. But sometimes it works. You can goto the voicemap and type in a region you like to see if they have voice on now http://secondlife.com/voicemap/.

I dowloaded Voice First Look and TP'd around loads of voice enabled sims and couldn't find anyone using voice.
