lost trees

So a few nights ago, I bought some pretty rose bushes and a beautiful big silk tree from Bliss gardens. I had to wait through a few crashes while my sim was down before I could return home and place them on my land.

Now, while I was placing them on my land, my sim crashed again. When I was finally able to get back on, my plants were missing! And they were also gone from my inventory. Permanently. I tried various methods of checking my lost and found folder and overall inventory, but they were nowhere to be found.

I found this thread:

/145/61/147266/1.html

It says nothing about being able to get these items back.

Am I correct in making that assumption? Or is there something else I can do about this?

Were these no-copy objects? It sounds like the sim may have been restored from backup, in which case the changes you made were lost.

It's often worth having a polite word with the creator. I've lost things through pure and simple dumbassedness when I first started and some creators are willing to help. You can't expect them to, but there's always the chance they might.

Bug report it and then move on because you are not going to get the item back or get your money refunded from LL. Live help will tell you to bug report, and your report will never go anywhere. This is a case where everyone in support is going to shrug at you, and say they're sorry and there's nothing else they can do.

After you let go of that possibility, IM the creator and politely explain what happened. More often than not, they will take care of you because everyone knows that no one else is going to. As long as you are nice, chances are they will be too.
