After countless hours building a home, I rezzed an item from my inventory that although did not have the work "temp" in the name, ended up being a temp rez item and now I have no idea how to get rid of it. I can delete what is there one minute, only to have it return the next...any suggestion?

Use ctrl-alt-T to see if there is a transparent/invisible ball/box or prim that is actually the temp rezzer.. that's the prim you need to delete/remove or turn off
It will show in red when you enable show transparent _____________________

you need to delete the object that's rezzing the item.
Wait until the item rezzes and then delete it. Then press ctrl-alt-t to see transparent things. The rezzer should then show up in red. Delete that (or take it into your inventory if it's no copy). With the rezzed object visible, the rezzer is probably located inside it. That's why you should delete the temp object first. _____________________
