We had a strange thing happening on the land access settings on my groupland some hours ago. My manager is the only person who can change the land settings and the roles and permissions in the group. She worked in our group, reorganizing and changing roles and in the same time the owner of another group she's in made also a change in the settings of his group. Somehow this got mixed and PUFF she got ejected from the groupland and we noticed, that our land now got set to 'restrict access to avatar' set but of course no av names mentioned. So the land was closed for everyone  Not to mention that everybody on the land got ejected too and we have now some furious IM's because they think we did it on purpose did anybody ever met this feature? was this just bad luck or is there a way to secure the land or group settings so such a thing can't happen anymore?

It seems nobody has an explanation So take care when editing roles in your group, it may change the access restrictions on your land.

I booted myself off my own land once by checking the access list box on land controls because I didn't realize I needed to enter the names first...I was able to stand next door, bring the land controls on my parcel back up and uncheck it. Are you sure someone didn't do something similar? I'm not in-world at the moment, but I just don't recall anything in the group roles options that would create the same effect.

*blinks* Wow.. I think something similar has happened, but not exactly like this.
First, make sure the group owned land is still in the group's name, even if it's restricted to an unnamed avatar.
Second, if she has the 'rights' to change the group land, she should be able to reset the permissions of the land, even while standing on another land. This is what fixed a similar situation.
Third, have her open a JIRA ticket explaining everything step-by-step.. especially if the second one doesn't work to solve the issue.

Thanks a lot for your answers. The situation was easy fixed and i will look with her to make a report as soon as we are both inworld. We didnt lose anything, but an educational shock it was for sure
