Hi Porthos, I have no idea why you keep crashing, you should post in the technical issues forum, people will be able to help you there. There are two main ways to run a store in SL. You can buy your own land and build a store yourself. But, the price of land is very high now and it can take a long time to learn how to build. Another way is to rent a store. There are lots and lots of places in SL where you can go and pay a small amount every week for a place to do business. You can rent a small stall in a shopping mall for as little as $50 per week, or you can rent a great big shop on private land for about $500-$750. Everyday new shopping streets, villages and malls open up, so when you get SL working you can search around for them. When you start making some money you can open up more and more shops around SL, so people have a better chance of finding you The most important thing is to get into SL and learn as much as you can before you start spending your money, there's alot to learn, more than you might think. There is some good information here in the forums if you spend a long time reading, but the best place to learn about SL is inside SL itself. Good luck, Vale

From: Vale Vieria Hi Porthos, You can rent a small stall in a shopping mall for as little as $50 per week, or you can rent a great big shop on private land for about $500-$750. Vale What Vale forgot to point out is the prices she is quoting are in linden dollars not US dollars which would make the rents seem incredibly expensive. $1 US == $270 Lindens approx so a stall is less than 20 US cents and a great big shop about $2-3 US to rent

Hmm, you'd have thought I'd have spotted that. Yes, seconlife uses Itchy and Scratchy Land money (Linden Dollars), it's like real money but....ya know.....fun Once you get into the secondlife world you can buy Linden dollars from the website or inside the game itself. When you get your business up and running you will be paid in linden dollars which you can turn back into US dollars by selling them on the website. Vale
