Perhaps it happened a few updates ago and i'm just noticing it ...but i notice now that everything i touch my pointer to in inventory, in fact anything on the screen has a white box with descriptions on it. I tried turning hover tips off...that only worked on the objects inworld. But it still remains when i'm in my inventory, for that matter while editing anything...these white boxes flashing on the side are very distracting (and I think uneccessary) or is that i've just had too much coffee?
I tried looking in preference to see if there is a way to turn it off. Any ideas?

They are tootips and they are different form world hovertips. And no, you can't disable them. They insist coming over and over *covering* chat text you are editing, to say with their nasty voice "Press enter to say, press enter to say, press enter to say".

It's a real pain to have to drag the one that covers the text insertion line so you can read what you're typing. This, I could do without!
