My partner and I rent an apartment together in Tintafel. Neither of us are able to set the apartment to Home. At best we can landmark the lobby. Is there anything we could buy and set in the apartment that would allow us to TP right into our apartment?

I don't believe so. You have to own the property, or belong to a Group on the property to set it to Home, I believe.

You would have to belong to the group the land is deeded to, and to belong to a group role that has "Set Home To Here" checked as a group permission. If the land is not deeded to a group, or you are not a member of that group with the right roles, you simply can't set home there, and will have to settle for a landmark.

This is a bug that LL still hasn't fixed. It used to work, from what I understand, for land merely set to a group, but now land has to be group owned before group members can set home to the land.

You might ask your landlord to set up the land in a way that it's group land and tenants are authorized to set their Home location there.

At least that's a default on all the land I'm renting out. How could I expect a tenant to "feel at home" if I don't even let him set his Home location there?

This is a bug that LL still hasn't fixed. It used to work, from what I understand, for land merely set to a group, but now land has to be group owned before group members can set home to the land.

LL Has stated that this is now the intended behavior, and that they will not "fix" it so it works if the land is only set to group, and not deeded. I did a bug report and it was returned firmly as "won't fix".

So, the only option is to own the land yourself, or to deed the land to a group and set up group roles. I recently deeded my own land to a group that I control, so my Partner and several other friends can set home on my land. It works fine, if the owner deeds the land to the group and sets up the group roles properly.
