Just a quick question... back in July i made an alt...after the password disaster i tried to log her in yet it tells me that i have to yet again change the password, when i had a friend look my alt up in search, it is now saying "not found" anyone else have this happen to them? i don't really care if the alt is gone, but i would have liked to been able to transfer her stuff to Lexii... i also looked the alt up in seach and got the same response, she doesn't seem to exist anymore.. *sigh*

This concerns me greatly! I use an alt as a currency vault, and only keep enough cash on hand to run my affairs. If my alt disappeared, I'd be very upset about the quantity of very real money that disappeared with him.

If your alt was a paid (1 time $9.95 fee) basic acct, I'd complain loudly to Linden Labs. If it wasn't, is there any recourse you can pursue?

she may just need re-activating if you didn't use her between july and sept. NOT certain about that, but that would be my guess.

seems like accounts stop appearing in the list if not used for 60 days (non premium ones i imagine) but again i am NOT certain.

sorry i don't know for sure one way or the other.

basic accounts ARE subject to deletion after 60 days of non-use. The key remains in the database, so you can never use the same name again, but the inventory and all of the other information gets deleted.

I had that happen to a prior account, and was very dissapointed when I tried to come back and SL support told me, "No, your avatar that all your friends knew is dead. Pick a new name."
