Video Stream restarts all over before loading

Hi,

I have set up a video stream on my group owned land. The video works fine except for the fact that it is starting all over again until the video (it's a .mov file on a shared server, no streaming server) is loaded completely.

Is there anything I can do to assure that the video did not start playing until the Client has loaded it completely, to avoid all theses restarts?

TIA Jim

You can pause the video every now and then to give it time to load. This will prevent it from restarting. Your visitors would need to do the same. This is the only "fix" I am aware of.

OMG! My partner and I have had this same problem with a "dvd" that we own that plays videos. Since we're on a wireless network at home, his stream of either video or audio is always a few seconds ahead of me, but when we're inworld, we like to only rely on SL for communication (even though we're married in RL and only sitting a room apart....lol), and we like to watch movies or videos together. However, at different times, they will start over, which is very annoying and I always wondered why. So, if we pause periodically, that should help solve that situation?
