I have just sold a piece of land that had my shop on. The shop and its contents were not included in the sale. I assumed that all the items along with the building pieces would be returned to me by the new owner setting auto return. I did get a few notes telling me that items had been returned to my lost & found folder by the person who bought the land but I can not see the building or lots of other items from the shop any where in my inventory. Where would they have gone?

If one item returned the rest may well be contained inside it. Try going to a sand box and rez it. You may find that everything is infact there, then you have to take everything or the items you want. This happened to me when I returned everything on my land.

Where would they have gone? Auto-return often returns multiple items all as one piece... and under the name of only one of the items. Rez all the stuff in your lost and found and see if it's the missing stuff is tucked away in there. The other possibility is that the person did not return some of the stuff. Have you gone back to make sure it's all gone from the parcel you sold?

Where would they have gone? Did you set the land for sale to include the items or to not include the items? (I see that you said that they were not included, but was that a verbal agreement with the buyer? or did you actually tick the box to "not include items"?) If you set it for sale to include, then all of the items will be in his name now....him setting auto return will not send them back to you. And if they did all get sent back to you, they may have gone back into their respective folders. If you know the name of some of the items, do a name search in your inventory.

OOoo...yeah....thats true...I've seen that before. and they may just be called "object. Set your inventory filter to"date" and look in your objects folder or lost and found folder.

The coellesced FEATURE

I hate that thing, many a thread have discussed it. Basically its when a mass return of items is performed on a property. A bunch of your objects get mashed together in one unit. This is identified by a weird looking rubiks cubish icon in your inventory next to the name of some object or another. When you rez this 'object' all your stuff co-mingled with it come flying out. One big snag of this, is that your objects 'coellesced' are now spatially in the same position they were in when they were taken up by the mass return. So if item 'A' was ten meters north of item 'B' when they were returned to you, they will rez in the same pattern. Make sure you got plenty of space to lay all that stuff back down. COELLESCED SUCKS!
