You just got to learn how to choose best land for the price, etc and get there first.
Last week I found several lots under 5100 and someone swept in changed prices on several lots to 5k more, Lucky I was about to get 6 at the lower price 2 I had to buy it at higher price to get the lot I wanted. Be prepared, Be quick and now what you want. P.S. I saw lot for 512L today but didn't have the lindens or I would have bought it to sell to newbie for 2k vs those who raise it up to 8k and up. |

For every landbot, there are a thousand humans who want to be first to a cheap piece of land. The landbots' impact on the market is minimal at best.

Ladda, the 'landbots' are implemented using privately enhanced versions of the Second Life client, which is now open-source. To my knowledge, no one has yet published or sold the changes required for people to do this for themselves, so it's just a handful of knowledgeable people doing this at the moment. Anyone with some understanding of C++ programming and the time to learn the SL client code has the ability to write their own though.
Also, I've heard the Lab has made some changes to the frequency of land listings that have supposedly (and unintentionally) made the landbot thing even more lucrative... but only the botters know for sure. I definitely have noticed a big difference between what Land Search shows you and what's actually for sale these days. _____________________

But even bots can't psychically know when things come up for sale. Really the laggy search is best for ordinary people who just happen to fly past good land or live in the same sim or something. |
