Not sure where ta put this...ah well *shrugs* Question: Are ISLAND owners the only residents who can change the texture of thier Land, or can you change the ground texture of a single Parcel too? I noticed at Suffugium, the ground was custom textured with concrete, and streets. They even built a full underground tunnel system! So...just a wild guess here... it must be an Island I would be real happy if I could texture the ground on my land... Anybody?

You can perhaps lower your parcel's land, then fill the resulting void with whatever you'd like (subways, concrete, random textures, etc.) As usual the real limitation would then be prims.

Yeah, that's what I'm tryin' to work around. If I we can just lay down textures, instead of building prim floors and streets/lots, it sure would save on prims...

Xio - the only way you can change the texture of terrain is on private islands, using the Region/Estate menu. You have to either own the island or have the owner of the island add you onto the list to manage the Region/Estate menu. Mainland property that you purchase from LL, even if it's a whole sim, doesn't give you that option - it has to be a private island.
Past that, your only option is to fake it using prims, like Peekay said.
