Eww, it's not one of mine. I'm blonde.

Have you tried cleaning your lens?

no.....it's not a HUD. i only get it when i take a photo to upload to my harddrive, and only then at 1600 x 1600. i solved it by setting it to the size of my window. however, i never used to get this oddness previously so it still has me stumped.

You might want to take the camera strap off the camera...since it's getting in the way. :P

This may sound too simple, but have you rebooted your machine since first seeing this effect? Perhaps there's just some glitch in your video memory or system memory. That line looks just about wide enough to be a silhouette of the edge of a window. I sometimes get weird window remnants when my computer's been on too long (like several days without a restart).

Another thing that comes to mind is are you running multiple monitors? You said the line went away when you resized your SL window. Before it was resized, was it spanning two screens? The line could be an artifact where the two screens meet.

Beyond that, I'm stumped.

only joking, lol, although have you tried moving to a diffrent place to take the photo, this will show you if the line is inworld or just your client.

It seems like it COULD be the place the photo should end if it's a square format as you said. Maybe it's accidentally taking a picture that has the square part (1600x1600) plus an extra segment that should've been excised, showing the line that usually is to mark the cropped area.

I've seen this one too - it only appears when you set the image size larger than your interface size.. at least I think. That's the only time I see it.

Thin black vertical lines are a visual cue for a really strange event. If I've learned anything from 1960's sitcoms, said event is meeting your identical twin. The line is an infinitely thin seam in subspace. This seam usually prevents one twin from getting too close to the other. Should one twin actually manage to cross the seam, the result could be disasterous. In theory, if one twin touches the other, it counts as that twin touching himself/herself. It is a known fact that touching oneself causes blindness. Its all true. Its sound science. A guy in a white lab coat told me. Dudes in white coats never lie. :D
