Send the only message that LL will acknowledge: tier down, abandon your land to the Lindens, and convert to a basic account.
LL doesn't listen to their paying customers, not even those of us who have been here a long time. LL's only goal is the get to 1 million subscribers, with complete disregard of the consequences.
When a business sells a defective product, they either have to fix it or loose all their customers. Not enough customers here are dropping SL, maybe they think it will get better, maybe they are unwilling to abandon what they paid for. WAKE UP! you already have lost what you paid for! You paid to enjoy what SL has to offer. When is the last time you really enjoyed that?
I stopped enjoying SL when v1.7 was introduced. SL has gone downhill since then.

I don't want to tier down. I haven't lost what I pay for, which is the ability to have fun building things. The last time I enjoyed that was about 15 hours ago. There's just some hiccups now and again.

From: Pratyeka Muromachi Send the only message that LL will acknowledge: tier down, abandon your land to the Lindens, and convert to a basic account. No. From: Pratyeka Muromachi LL doesn't listen to their paying customers, not even those of us who have been here a long time. LL's only goal is the get to 1 million subscribers, with complete disregard of the consequences. And presumably they think that when they get to a million subscribers they move to the next stage of human evolution, or the mothership will come to take them home. Alternatively you could just be making this up. From: Pratyeka Muromachi When a business sells a defective product, they either have to fix it or loose all their customers. You paid to enjoy what SL has to offer. When is the last time you really enjoyed that? Quite recently actually. From: Pratyeka Muromachi I stopped enjoying SL when v1.7 was introduced. SL has gone downhill since then. Bye then. Hold on, before you go, though, why have you stayed since 1.7 if you weren't enjoying it? Do you have just too much fun in your First Life so need to do something to make yourself miserable occasionally? Were you cursed by a wizard to roam Second Life for the rest of your days, as a punishment for disrespecting his hedgehog?

It just struck me... so if everyone tiers down and leaves... and LL gets the message, and makes everything mo' better...
We wouldn't be here to enjoy it anyway.

How will they get "worse and worse"? Where does the exponential factor come from? In a year, I see no evidence of such deterioration, only more of the same.

yeah, but you could come back once LL have learned their lesson. and start over from scratch. unfortunatley all the abandoned land would've been bought for a song by others who didn't care or didn't know, and LL would never have changed their policy.
a general strike is a far better idea. landowners deny access, there's nothing for anyone to do in SL except walk around with placards shouting "WHAT DO WE WANT? FULL VERIFICATION! WHEN DO WE WANT IT? TWO MONTHS AGO!"

It won't be a planned exodus. People will fall off, the defections will be on a personal level, first one, then two, a couple here and there, a group. Natural progression.

I think you're wrong. They do listen. But maybe they don't change the policy to your liking. What you do understand is that what you want isn't what someone else wants. If they changed it for you then someone else would complain. Inciting people to leave LL is not the solution. http://www.bitsofnews.com/content/view/4132/44/Read the above, have a speculative ponder on the fact that under the TOS Linden gives us ownership of intellectual property here, and don't cut off your own nose to spite your faces (English saying) And for those of you who can script (I know sod all about scripting or programing) try to help Linden solve their problems. It might be in your interests... Regards John

scripting doesn't let you help a thing , linden are rather hostile towards able scripters , too panicked of the recent attacks , they take action against those messing with "dangrous scripts"
