Successful logins in public places?

This is likely to be a very short list..... but has anyone been successful logging into a public place today? If so, care to post the location? :)

My "home" doesn't work, my known locations don't work, and 30 minutes of random location searches haven't come up with anything either.

I see friends online, so I know it's possible somehow... hahaha

Thanks!

Forgive me if this an impossibly newbie question, but without logging on, how do you know if your friends are online..?

Tid Kidd - Go to secondlife.com and choose "my account". Scroll down on the left and you'll see "friends online". :)

http://secondlife.com/community/

Left side of the page, about 2/3 down, under "My Second Life" shows a "Friends Online" link.

But be aware, it sometimes is inaccurate.

Sometimes = 90% of the time, in my case

yep, stuck in this sim again today. Can cross one of the neighbouring sim borders, but not the others. TP, Inventory, Maps, and most scripts not working... online status and IM's to another resident i know is online are not working either...

I've got as far as the prompt for the optional version ... but if I do get to login, I'll be out of time now.

Same here, Daisy... I set aside a couple of hours of "me time" for SL, and it's disappearing quickly. Boo hoo hoooo
