Does anyone else have this problem - I try to upload a texture, sometimes on the first try I get an error message, minimap goes red and I have to relog. Occasionally I do manage to upload one and then the same thing happens on the second one.
Any advice would be appreciated

I used to have this problem. It comes from having a computer on the lower end of the requirements for SL (or did in my case).
I'd "redmap" if Ispent too long in the upload window selecting my texture(s). I got around this by making a specific folder for uploading textures that is qick and easy to find.
Why it happens, I don't know. Though I've had it happen less since I started using an upload folder, and I ahve also upgraded my Ram to 2GB (Was only 1GB before). A tech-head might be able to answer the specifics, but it is possible to avoid the wort of this effect.
Also, do bulk uploads if you have more than one upload. Less tiem inthe selection window, the better your chances to avoid redmapping, in my experiances.
