I have a question about how much land I am allowed to own .....

When I look in my account there I see under 'Allowed holdings' : 512 square meters.

How can I own more land?

I have searched the forum but cannot find the answer .........

Oh, I am premium and pay yearly.

512 sq.m. are the amount of land you are allowed to own without paying any tier. You can own as much lamd as you can pay for!

Go to the Secondlife.com then go you your account page. On the left hand side is a link called 'land use fees'. click this and it will allow you to upgrade your tier.

Yes, for anything above 512 sqm you need to pay a monthly fee. Fees are paid in arrears so you need to understand that if you have your tier set at say 1024 sqm and then you buy a 2048 sqm plot of land then you will be charged for 2048 at the end of your billing period. Even if you immediatly sell the 2048 sqm after a few minutes you will still be charged for the maximum amount of land you have held throughout that monthly period. Buying land is now idiot proof though. Just right click on a plot of land and select 'buy' and it will tell you if you have enough tier to cover it and you will be warned if you need to upgrade your tier in the event you do not have enough sqm available.

It's probably slightly more accurate to say the 512m tier is included in the premium membership, rather than saying the 512 is free.
