signed up to slexchange on sunday and it siad i would get my email to confirm my accont in 24hours or less but ive still not had it. ive tryed login in and nothing but login in error grrrr. ive emailed slexchange and still nothing from them.

I had a similar issue with them - just re-register.

You might just be venting here, but in case you're looking for help, you'll probably have better luck on SLXchange's (now XStreetSL's) website than here in resident answers. Contact their support people. Good luck.

Check your e-mail service's spam box, quite often automated messages like this that never arrive, actually did arrive, and were flagged as spam by your isp.

From a long long time ago, I seem to remember that I also had to visit a SLX terminal inworld with my avatar and quote some or other keyword to verify/validate my SLX account. Perhaps this procedure is gone now, so if a red herring, I apologise ... otherwise .....?

Just create a gmail account in the name of your avatar (kellbellmistwallow@gmail.com) and go to another machine in-world and sign-up. I like to sign up only at the xchange island because then you know the machine is receiving proper maintenance and no foreign listeners are around.

SL Exchange is not run by Linden Lab, please try contacting SL Exchange again as the makers of SL do not run SLX.

Contact XStreet they should be able to help you. It could be if you did not receive the email or if it is not in your spam/junk mail, you could have accidentally mistyped your email address. I have always had good luck and good customer service with them.

lol yes i am awear that linden dont run xchange. im just clearly seeing if anyone has had this problem themselfs and if they can help me. as its ppl on second life that use xchange duh!

Also, I don't know who your email provider is, but if you have Yahoo, they have this weird SpamGuard service that actually deletes a lot of spam before they even let it hit your inbox. Unfortunately, it frequently regards web sign-up confirmation emails as deletable spam. I have to disable SpamGuard any time I create a new Yahoo email now because this has happened so often.

i use hotmail and ive checked it over and over not even xstreet have got back to me over the matter

Kell- you can email them about it and they wil help you. It happened to one of my alts the other day and they very quickly fixed it for me. Also- you do need to go to one of their kiosks once you do have the email and confirm the account. Meantime- try OnRez, very easy set up and the confirm kiosks are easy to navigate.

Hotmail is notorious for rejecting emails from SL and XstreetSL. As suggested above, create an email account with gmail, yahoo, aim or other free site and try contacting them again. For XstreetSL I use aim and haven't had problems with it.

Wow, is their entire mail system broken? People have been buying our stuff there and I've not gotten mails from them in days. Additionally, I just bought some things, and haven't received any receipt emails...

really i wouldn't use hotmail anyways because if you answer emails you give up information that can trace right to your front door..
Gmail and yahoo only give up their server ip's
