I want to do something different in SL, other than I have been doing lately, and would like to attend more live concerts.
Can anyone recommend any artists, and the locations they usually play at, and what type of music they play?

Check events under the search tab. Narrow the search to live music.

sl live music group as well indie music lovers search live music is your friend  when you find a venue that you like join their group and artist groups for announcements too

Many thanks in advance. The West of Ireland sim has live concerts. Slip Stringfellow plays traditional Irish music on Thursday nights. On the third Saturday of each month, Tone Uriza plays wonderful blues music live at 7pm and Slip appears right before him at 6pm. |

Be sure to check out Frank Berens - he gigs regularly around secondlife.
His avatar is called DonFranko Dagostino ...I love him to bits! The gigs he does tend to get very busy these days but he does have a group you can join so you'll know when and where he's playing.
You could also try Fa3rik open mic nights for spotting new talent.

Hummingbird Cafe has lots of cool people performing, plus would recommend Videoranch, their houseband is also very good.
