Is this new? Notecards being offered while offline, appear in inventory

I have noticed this since upgrading to the option viewer (1.13.12 I think). If I am not in world and someone offers me a notecard, I get a note in e-mail that says "Joe Blog has offered you inventory..." I then log-in and instead of giving me the option to accept or decline, it's now in my recent items folder. In addition, nothing pops up on my screen whatsoever, so I would have had no idea anyone sent me anything if I didn't have my offline IMs to e-mail on or check my recent items folder (which I never do).

Is this new? Or am I crazy?

Thanks

I am pretty sure this is not new, and that the same thing happens when a picture is sent when you are offline. As for your sanity, I have no opinion :)

It's been like that for as long as I can remember. Notecards and snapshots/textures just silently go into your inventory with no in-world notice.

If you send one to someone just leave an additional IM telling them to check :).

No, we have been able to drop notecards on someone who is offline for quite a while, without them having to accept. It's the main way I get messages to one of my friends, as her system does poorly at recieving notice of IM's recieved while off-line.

You're not alone :p.

There have been a lot of times where I get a "did they change that just now? I could have sworn it used to be different". One example is that I'm almost certain that "Wear" and "Delete" didn't used to be next to each other in the right-click menu.

I know! I almost always nearly delete something when I go to wear it. Not sure who designed it that way, but they obviously don't change clothes often ;)

Nearly delete? You're no way near ham-handed enough! Keep practicing! You won't come anywhere close to matching my powers of duh until you methodically delete everything you try to wear and then sit staring blankly at your inventory trying to figure out what happened because you never learn from your mistakes.

I believe this changed a couple months ago.

You're right. It used to be, if you gave someone a notecard and they were offline, the card would pop up for them on their next login, with "save" and "delete" buttons under it.

People started using it for spamming, sending notecards to hundreds of people at a time.
And if you got more than one, it was really annoying having to close 4 or 5 windows that popped up as soon as you logged in.

I don't recall seeing any official notice that this behavior was changed.

Not new, Most of the things you are Given while you are Off line don't give the accept/Decline choice.
