I created an alt account, as I am starting a sl business. I then passed my Home (Skypod) Landmark to the new avi, so he would have a place to change etc. I got him fitted up with his business clothes, then logged out. I then logged in as my first avi, and went dancing with an old flame, one thing led to another, and I invited her back to my Skypod.
Imagine my horror when I arrived at my Skypod, and saw my 2nd avi standing there!! It wasn't a mirage, I bumped him quite hard. My date was impatiently asking for a tp, and so I hoped that it would only be me that could see avi 2. My date arrived, had a look around the Skypod, then asked, 'and who is the geek over there?'!! I did a search for my avi2, and he was listed as being offline!
Has anyone the slightest idea as to how this could have happened??

Sometimes the sim server doesn't get the message that you logged off and will keep your ghost hanging around for considerable time afterwards.

It's referred to as Ghosting, when you logged out, the server failed to wipe some or all of the Avatar Data, as a result, sometimes you meet a Phantomed person (One you can Pass through) or sometimes a Solid one depending upon how much Avie Data was retained. Just use your Land tools to Boot your Alt Avie, the Forced teleport will make the server reassess the On Line status, and will wipe the Ghost Avatar from the server.
