My BUTT hurts everytime i teleport

Ok i am sure i am not the only one with this question or atleast the only one it happens to.

this used to be something that happend once in a great while but happens everytime i teleport now..
all my attatchments go to my Butt hehehehe..
my prim body i guess would be the right term..i have tried trimming down my inventory and trying to keep attatchments low before port but nothing seems to work..
does anyone know what i have to do to stop this pain in the butt glitch or whatever it is..

LOL! That's a common malady for which there is no cure.
Hasn't happened to me in quite a while though, so you must be lucky!

Annoying isn't it?It hasn't happened to me for a while thankfully. Could be worse I guess. Someone else's Attachments could be heading for the same area.

This happens because the middle of your pelvis is the origin point (0,0,0) of your avatar. Your SL client has 'forgotten' where the attachments actually go on your body, so it has thrown them all into the default.

The only cure for it is to either A. unattach everything before teleporting then reattach it when you arrive, or B. Ignore it (other people usually see the attachments properly).

The problem can be greatly reduced by getting a faster connection on your side. (yes, nobody likes to hear the problem is aggravated by something on their end, but this is one of the ones that is.)

Or relog, if you're fairly confident of getting back in...your attachments will go back where they belong without having to detach and reattach.

Depending on who the person is, it can be downright terrifying.

It happened to me today for the first time in a couple of months.....I forgot how annoying it really is.

It's not even that unrealistic. There are really people with the needed length and flexibility to... uhm... nevermind.

Perhaps LL would do something about it if we all started to AR people for masturbating with shoes, wigs, jewelry, umbrellas and other objects in PG areas?

You have to be careful using the new Internet enabled sex toys.

Take pictures..someday they will fix it and the pics will be historical and hysterical.

I'd add option C: don't detach things ahead of time, but if they're in the wrong place on the other end of a teleport, detach and reattach there.

That way you're not solving the problem until there actually is a problem, but it's a less radical fix than relogging. And unless you're wearing a lot of attachments, it should only take a few seconds to do.

One thing that does happen to me occassionally, is if I go to attach something to my body, say my hair, it will attach to my pelvis instead. What's worse is in my inventory it wont show up as attached. I just have to find it on my body, rightclick and remove, and then reattach.

The only other problem I have with attachments is sometimes they wont attach, or if you try to attach to many in succession it will refuse to let me.

You can detach it from inventory too. If it's attached and you can't locate it (if it's a very small prim like a piece of jewelry or if, as sometimes happens, it ends up inside the avatar) just right-click its name in the inventory list and chose 'detach'.

The other issues of not attaching or the dreaded "attachment is pending for this spot" for 10 minutes are due to lag,

I'm not tossing this out, but I'm highly sceptical as to the connection being the issue.

Short of going to a dedicated T1 line, my connection is about as fast as you're going to get through public ISP. And I still ahve this happen occationally.

I could be the connection, and the times it does happen to me could be "hiccups" in the service. However, from all I'm able to determine, I'm leaning mroe towards memory leaks in the client-code. Something which is now being addressed by Residents since teh client-code was open sourced. With LL actually using fixes made by Residents for teh client (which lets LL focus more on the server-code btw) perhaps the things that actually effect us in-wrold will be fixed now.
