Hello, I am hoping some one can help me. Since i tested the First Look Viewer I have not been able to move the sl cache off my C: drive. Prior to installing the FL i had moved it safely off my main drive following the instructions listed on the SL website. But as soon as i installed FL i have not been able to move it since. I tried an uninstall of the viewer and that did not work. So please if anyone else has had this issue and fixed it please please please let me know how to do it...it is killing my machine. MC

From: Marsha Chapman Hello, I am hoping some one can help me. Since i tested the First Look Viewer I have not been able to move the sl cache off my C: drive. I'm not familiar with the pre-First Look procedure for moving your cache location, but in First Look Preferences there is a file path setting for specifically that purpose. So, have you tried using the Preferences setting for this issue, or did you simply try to use the "old" way? I suspect the two approaches are not compatible.

Yes I have tried that as well. And now even the regular viewer uses the C: drive as well.

What version of the first look viewer are you using?
You might try doing an uninstall of all SL viewers.
What does it show for the cache location in the First Look viewer on the Network tab in preferences?
Have you filed a bug report?
Have you asked for help at support@secondlife.com?

What version of the first look viewer are you using? Second Life 1-13-3-58537 (FIRSTLOOK)
You might try doing an uninstall of all SL viewers. Have tried that...must be somethign hidden in the registry...(hidden though) I have looked for it
What does it show for the cache location in the First Look viewer on the Network tab in preferences? it shows E:\SecondLifeFLCache ... which is being used....but so is the standard location on the C: drive ... they work in parallel
Have you filed a bug report? Filed 2 yes. Called tech support in response to one of the reports. Tech support said First look is not supported...therefore they had no idea of what to do.
