From the If it Ain't Broke Break It File

Last year I could put the name of my venue in the title of all of my event listings and search my venue name to get a complete list of all of my current events. This was great to check to make sure the staff posted everything or the Error 400 monster did'nt eat the listing.

Why has this feature been removed? Events are completely un-searchable. Do the Lindens think event search works? Maybe they haven't been made aware of how useless it all is now.

But you don't need this, you have voice now, and that should more then make up for any little inconveniences you may experience.

I gave up trying to use the event search, hasn't worked for me for a while.

Event search has been changed so it only searches from the beginning of the event title. So, if an event is called "best socks", you can find it searching for "best", but not when searching for "socks".
If this change is a deliberate one, to reduce load on the DB servers or not, is the question.

As an alternative, you can use 'eventful.com' (put "second life" in the 'where' field). All events posted are automatically posted there too, and it allows full word search. But i'm not sure if 'mature' events are filtered.

I don't know, I don't have success using it at all. After listing all our upcoming hockey games, I can go in the next day, type hockey in the search for upcoming, and nothing or only 2 or 3 come up. Yet they show on the day.

As the events are called 'SLH Hockey game", they show up when typing 'SLH' in search. If you're posting events nowadays, make sure the keyword of the event is the first word in your title.

Thanks for the info. We gotta get LL to fix that. I'll call concierge and file a formal compleint as keep on top of it.
