I have a customer that would like to DEED his island land to the group so his wife can do what she needs to do on the land. I have been unsuccessful in figuring out why this is not able to be done this morning, not sure if its a glitch or if its not possible.

Thanks.

1) He must own the land. Only the owner can Deed it.

2) He must have the Ablitity to Deed land within his Group ROLE. Group Owners do by default, all others must be give the Ability throguh the Group Information pane.

If those two criteria are met and it still fails, then it'sa bug/glitch. Possibly related to the asset server issues of last night. You might try again once they are "fixed" or submit a Support Ticket for help.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

Is the island flagged to disallow land resales?

In other words, can residents on the island set their land for sale?

If not, then they cannot deed to group. Deeding to group is effectively a land transfer, and not allowing land resale is basicaly a 'no-transfer' permission for land.

If that is the case, the solution is still quite simple.

1) the residents in question start a group
2) the owner of the group invites the owner of the island into the group, as an Officer. (Must be an officer, not a 'member')
3) The owner of the island reclaims the land, then deeds it to the resident's group
4) the owner of the island then leaves the group, and the land is now safely in the hands of the resident's group.

I have done this process about a half dozen times, it takes a few minutes at most.

It appears to be the case (and I don't know if this is intentional or a bug), that you cannot deed land to a group if the island owner has disabled Allow Land Resell for the island (which you can check in the Convenant for the land parcel).
