Hi
On the couple of occasions I have had to file an AR, after 4-5 days, I get the email from LL stating it has been dealt with, and whilst they do not give specific details, they invite you to view the police blotter to see the outcome of cases in the region.
However....
It takes LL 4-5 days to respond, and the police blotter only lists the last 1-2 days... this seems to mean we can never see the probable outcome of the AR, as the listings hown are for the date the "offence" occured...
Which brings me onto a second point... I only ever do an AR for very high priority severe problems. How come it has always taken 4-5 days for my AR's to be dealt with when the police blotter is full of offences from today and yesterday? How come these have been dealt with before mine? If there was not some sort of "queue jumping" happening, the blotter should show listings from 4-5 days ago...
Any ideas? Can we not see more history in the blotter?

You might want to read over http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/04/18/changes-in-abuse-report-resolution/ if you never did originally. The more people AR the same problem, the quicker a human gets to it. If you're the only one suffering a problem, you're doomed to the "Close without looking at it" queue (obvious hyperbole, although I never did get a resolution for an AR filed only by me, regardless of how severe or obvious or persistant the problem was).

Thanks for that Kitty, it has now become clearer. I did not realise this is how it is done. As the owner of a club, many of the people affected left it to me to submit the AR at the time, including sending me transcripts etc. I will in future encourage them to file independant AR reports. It would however still be useful to be able to view more history in the police blotter... Gomez

Gomez Also, take note of the regions in the blotter. If they are in Linden Office Land, or public orientation island, etc., quite often there's a Linden (or mentor or other official) standing RIGHT THERE so the response is swift and decisive.
