Previewing an island before buying

I am setting up an island, but I want to see the four different options for real first.
Can anyone tell me if there are example islands out there?

I am also interested in checking out really nice locations SL, to know what to aim for. Popular spots, not because people make money there, but because they are nicely designed.

Type 1..using the search facility type 'Laurentia' and teleport, feel free to wander at will, it's still in it's original form..bought it a week ago. There's several Type I - IV islands grouped about SL oceans but every time I tried to teleport to them my TP facility locked up, so I'm guessing they're not for visiting.

Whatever you do don't rely on the Land Sale map, it's not an accurate representation of the true SL map. Obviously you 'have' to use the Land Sale map to order your island but work out where your prospective island location is going to be and go visit it on the SL map..you'll probably find there's a few more islands there you weren't expecting. I had a few problems with this and LL are now relocating me.

The concierge team have set up all four island types together so you can see them life size in their pristine new form.

Inworld, just look up the region called Linden Estate Services on the map. The four islands are immediately to the east of the Linden Estate Services region.

No matter what island you choose, you can make it any way you'd like with +/- 100 terraforming and texture changing ability.

That is great... Can I make a lake as well?

Yea you can make it anyway you'd like. No matter what style I order, I flatten it out and start fresh until get what I'm after for the sim.
