Hi there,i'm trying to understand something ..i want to buy a small piece of land .. 512 or 1024 ... now, what i really want is just a 'blip' in the sky to be able to have a small quiet skybox ..if i buy a parcel of land ..does this also include the sky above ..or how do i find that for sale? Sorry if i sound a bit dizzy .. i am just wanting to take the step from non-commital renter to buyer and im not sure of the way to do it.

*grins* Okay, first, yes.. if you own the land, you technically own the sky about if. There is no separate fee for that. In fact, one of the old login 'notes' was to buy the land below you, so that your sky box doesn't get returned in pieces Problem: Ban lines only go for 50m so, you may want to use a security orb if you wish to keep unwanted visitors from hopping onto your pose balls.

"Land" is a bit misleading. What you are actually buying is the right to put out prims. A sim is allowed 15,000 prims (not counting ones that are worn), half a sim is allowed 7500, etc etc etc.
A 1024 plot gets about 215, I think. (Complicated extra rule to cover temp objects ignored for now.)
So, instead of buying land, you could also find someone who is not using up all their prim allowance. You would pay them. They would allow you to build on their land (way up in the sky).
