My second day in SL I stumbled across an outdoor shopping complex. It was kinda like an Office Park. It had paths going all over and I'd say it was at least a quarter of a sim big. Much of the land was undeveloped (no buildings anyway), but the distinct thing about this place was that there were "You Are Here" directory boards next to all the paths. I've been looking for this place again ever since with no luck. Does this place sound familiar to anybody. If you've seen a place with directory boards like this Please post the location here. I'm getting desperate (and tired).
Thanks in advance

Aqua Shopping Park. Or try Luna.

It sounds to me like you were in AQUA, near CMFF.
Try putting "aqua" into the MAP location, then 47 156 24,

-- Or -- you can just search Classifeds for 'CMFF' and you'll see their Aqua store.

Good Luck,

Yep, definitely sounds like Aqua Shopping Park. And some day I really will get the rest of the land developed, I swear! :) I'm the owner so if you have any questions about the place don't hesitate to send me an IM.

Wasn't Aqua looong time ago very busy shopping place, but then it became quiet and even died? But it means a lot to me as I used to shop there often in my early days so I wish you good luck making it a thriving place again! :)

Aqua was home to SL's very first large shopping mall, owned by Briana Dawson, and before that had one of the original locations of the Linden owned Avatar Central stores (a replica of which is still in Aqua). When the mall moved out much of the land sat empty for a long time and most of the sim went fallow. I bought the empty land and turned into a park with help from the merchants who were still there, and invited back several of the stores that had been there back in the day.
